COUNTY TYRONE

Dominated by the Sperrin Mountains Tyrone has all the best that Ireland has to offer. Hill walking, rock climbing, angling, even panning for gold. The rounded heather covered hills of the Sperrin Mountains make for ideal walking on windswept paths that lead down to lush green valleys. The river valleys full of biting fish a perfect place for any serious anglers. The fast fl owing rivers are the source of Ireland’s historic gold supply, a fact that made many countries covert and try to conquer Ireland.

Tyrone is Northern Ireland’s largest county and has a host of traditional bars with traditional entertainment and friendly people.  Tyrone has everything for a great break.
South of Tyrone are the Fermanagh Lakelands, Lough Erne being the largest lake in a network of waterways that even link through to the River Shannon. Not surprisingly
Fermanagh is famous for its fi shing and water sports. Cruising the lakes makes a great break on a long motoring holiday. The lakes are surrounded by historic sites from pre-historic idols, through early Irish chieftains to exquisite stately homes set in fragrant flower gardens.
There are few better places than Fermanagh to fully wind down and relax.

To the north lies Londonderry. The only completely walled city in the British Isles, Derry’s busy bustling streets dating from the 6th century but now resound to the sounds of 21st century Irish culture in the many bars and restaurants. Escape from the noise of the city is at hand, if wanted, on the 17th century walls and along the shores of Lough Foyle and County Derry lies along the Atlantic coast with great countryside and friendly welcoming locals.
